Meet Roscoe

This is our first experience fostering a rescue pug. Roscoe is actually a pug-terrier mix. He's adorable and (almost too) full of energy. We picked him up last Friday and we'll be keeping him until he is adopted.

Thank you, CVS & The Grocery Game!

Let's play a game. Check out the first picture and see everything I bought today. Guess how much I paid? Come up with a good guess before scrolling down to see my receipt (click on the picture to enlarge it).

Ok, are you ready? I bet you guessed too high!

Ruby and Dora are getting a little brother!

We are taking a big step into the world of being foster parents. To a pug. Well, not exactly. We'll be fostering a pug/Boston terrier mix... apparently they are referred to as Buggs. We're picking him up tomorrow night, and his name is Roscoe. He didn't fit in with his first foster family, which has nothing but old, blind pugs. Apparently he is very energetic and needs someone to play with. Perfect for Ruby and Dora! Especially because they're not getting the nieces they had wished for!

You can check out Roscoe's picture at www.dfwpugs.com - apparently he's a little camera shy. Once we get him home tomorrow night, we'll post some good pictures of him playing with Ruby and Dora.

Small group party

Had a party for my small group from church last night. They just finished 9th grade. Here's one of many of Photobooth pics...

Helicopters

On our way to the dog park this morning, we got a little turned around. We drove past South GP High School and there were some military helicopters out front in the parking lot. We see these things fly over our Joe Pool Lake all the time and I've always wondered where they're coming from and where they're going. I talked to one of the Army guys and it turns out there is a naval air station at Mountain Creek Lake and when we see them over Joe Pool Lake, it's because they are flying out on various training missions. Good to know!

Central Bark

This morning it wasn't too hot so we took Ruby & Dora to Grand Prairie's new dog park. It's only about a 5-minute drive from our house, I think Phil & I loved it more than the pugs did! There are separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. Each of the fenced areas has covered benches to sit on while the dogs play. Everything was very clean and nice. We'll have to take Izzy & Bailey there when they visit us next month.

Welcome to Central Bark.

Smelling all the exciting smells...

You heard him.

Water fountain for people of all sizes... plus the dogs!

Tired of playing frisbee!

Sisters, part II

See? What if Mom and Dad had sold us to different families? Wouldn't you be sad? Think of all the fun times we would have missed.

Dear Brittany,

To help you decide that sisters belong together....
